Tara Priya might have come a long way from her Goodbye, Romeo days, but her current sound has maintained her signature soul, her deep range and her drive toward experimentation.
Her latest single, “Fascinate Ya,” is a hip hop-infused song that puts Priya’s amazingly strong vocals front and centre. The verses offer a stripped-down calm, with an almost jazzy feel and Priya’s deep, throaty range. The chorus, on the other hand, explodes into a lofty, echoey cavern where Priya asks, “Do I fascinate ya?”
Priya has certainly come a long way – and she’s not stopping any time soon.
